Oh Distractions! 😅😅
I hate being distracted, yet I get distracted so easily at times haha 😅😅. I'll sit down to work and remember that I forgot to respond to my friend's message from two weeks ago. Then I'll spend 5 minutes casually looking for my water bottle, then open the fridge for the 100th time that day and magically hope something appears that wasn't there 20 minutes ago. I’ll head back to my desk, but not before making a pit stop at the restroom. After I wash my hands, I'll realize that I need lotion for my super dry hands🏜️. Finally, I sit back down at my desk and remember that I never grabbed my water bottle. This exact scenario happened at least twice times today and countless times over the past week😆. There are so many things in this world that can distract us from our purpose. Everybody gets distracted at times and it's okay. When we do get distracted, we must accept it and refocus. I always try to remind myself of the "why" behind my goals. This puts into perspective what is important and looking in the fridge for the 101st time today is not lining up with my future goals.
