Delicious Adventures Downtown๐๐๐๐ฎ๐จ
One of my core values is to "feed my body as if it was a high-performance race car"๐ . If I had a Lamborghini, I wouldn't be filling up with low-grade gasoline from 7-Eleven haha. However, every once in a while, I completely let loose and indulge in a day of crazy eating! Downtown Chicago is the place to be if you have a big appetite. Literally, every corner you turn has an array of restaurants and free smells during the holidays. The Christkindlmarket was our first stop. Hot chocolate, giant sausages, fried pancakes, doner kebab, and massive croissants made us forget about the freezing temperatures for a bit. After, we headed over to grab a fat/juicy burger before ice skating at the ribbon. Definitely not the best thing to eat before ice skating, but we all had plenty of energy to expend on the ice rink. Ice skating is wonderful because you are fully emersed in that moment and 100% of your focus is on not falling straight on your face๐. You feel as if you're in a different world for a little while. After working up an appetite, we walked over to a pizza parlor and ordered 5 pizzas and two dessert tacos for the 6 of us!! After all of that eating, I had enough food to hibernate through the rest of winter. Memories were made, fat was gained, but most important smiles/laughter were shared๐.
