Courage 🦁

Nelson Mandela once said: “I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.” This quote is fantastic and I remind myself of this daily. I admire successful athletes, physicians, business people, etc. These individuals have learned to act despite their fears and worries. I've found that there are little moments every day when I am tested, to see if I can control my emotions and continue acting in a way that aligns with my goals. Every time we move forward despite fear, we become mentally stronger. At some point, we will be mentally strong enough to tackle any problem that arises. We will develop the confidence to take action instead of being paralyzed by fear. I have more fears than I am proud to admit, however, I will never let these fears control me. Anytime my emotions start to get the better of me, I take a deep breath, count to three, and find a way to move forward. Hasn't failed me yet and I'm counting on this to take me to the top. I will see you there!
