4th of July Explosions🧨🧑🍳😋
There is never a shortage of moments where things don’t seem to be going your way. If you are anything like me, you’ll hold onto your pride like it's your lifeline and stubbornly dig your way out of these misfortunes on your own. What I often forget is there’s almost always an easier path and we are constantly reminded by the ones we love every day. This weekend our entire family celebrated July 4th. From the crazy road trip to the mouth-watering foods prepared, throwing the football around, the insane/borderline crazy fireworks, and lastly the shared laughter, joy, and happiness spread throughout our entire family. For good or bad, I know that I’m maturing each year because my hesitation towards lighting fireworks increases each year (Scared emoji), old man Veltkamp over here doesn’t want to lose his finger haha. These special moments when we are all together always fill the gaps in my heart. Spending time with those you love is a privilege and every second should be cherished because you never know when it will be taken away. The support, confidence, and love they bestow upon you and each other will give an energy boost unlike anything else. Something I’m continuing to work on is building deep relationships with everybody in my family because ultimately they will be the ones who help me conquer challenging stages in my life. When times get tough, these will be the people present to pick you up. I’m so thankful to be surrounded by amazing individuals who have always supported and given me the belief that nothing will stop me from achieving my dreams. Regardless of how successful or unsuccessful we are in life, the one thing we will always have is family. Remember that your family is the greatest treasure you will ever have in your life.
