Roger Federer will forever be known as the GOAT of Tennis. He has transcended the game of tennis and brought joy to players/spectators worldwide. I was lucky enough to watch him back in 2018 and the only word I can use to describe him is beautiful. He moves with the elegance of a gazelle but has the strength and confidence of an apex predator. Every time he hit the ball, it was like watching a painter create a masterpiece. The preparation, timing, positioning, and foresight was perfect every single time! He made tennis look soo soo soo easy, it was absolutely breathtaking. Watching his last professional tennis match brought a tear to my eye. Yes, I've only ever seen Federer from a distance, but he inspired me during high school and college to shoot for the stars. Every time I stepped out on the tennis court, I wished to emulate just 1% of Federer. What he has done for me, he has also done for millions of people around the world. He will always be the most loved tennis player. In one of his final interviews, he stated that "I'm just an average guy and every point I've won was lucky". This is why I have the utmost respect for him. He is the pinnacle of tennis in terms of physical abilities and moral/values. I'm so happy that he is finally going to have the time to spend with his family and enjoy what life has to offer him outside of the tennis court. Roger, your going to be missed but never forgotten.
