Let's Go Eagles!!! π©πͺπ₯¨
I was lucky enough to have an opportunity to give back and help coach the Judson Men's tennis team this weekend. Stepping onto the court with the guys was surreal, brought back amazing memories, and joy filled my heart. Nothing is quite like the comradery, passion, and excitement that surrounds you on the court. The match was extra special as it was senior night and the team was celebrating one of my close friend's final home matches as a Judson Eagle. I met Max 4 years ago and had the privilege of sharing the court with him, grinding our hearts out, and even had the chance to stay with him and his family last summer in Germany. The thing I respect most about Max is his work ethic and commitment to the sport he loves. His first couple of semesters were rough, he didn't always have a starting position and unfortunately had his fair share of nagging injuries. It would have been easy to complain and give up, but he kept his head down, fought hard, and believed in himself. He essentially lived in the gym and the trainer's office, doing whatever he could to progress forward. Watching him grow as a player these past years showed me the grit and determination in his heart, always looking to do better, and fine-tuning his skills. Max might not have always had the results he was aiming for, but these characteristics will take him as far as he can dream in life. I had the honor of being Max's first hitting partner on the team and fitting enough we got to rally some balls after the match, one last time on the same court where we first met. Best of luck in Law school and once I finish school I'll be coming to visit!!!
